What StubSure is

StubSure analyzes documents you upload for internal inconsistencies, such as numbers that don't add up, files changed after they were created, or pay that doesn't reach the bank account, and suggests what to verify with the source.

StubSure is not a consumer reporting agency, and its reports are not consumer reports under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Reports describe documents, not people. They don't evaluate an applicant's creditworthiness, character or eligibility.

How you may use it

• Upload only documents an applicant gave you as part of a rental application, or that you're otherwise allowed to review.
• Don't use a report as the sole basis for a housing decision. Confirm anything flagged directly with the employer or bank.
• Apply the same screening steps to every applicant, in line with the Fair Housing Act and state and local law.
• Don't upload documents to harass anyone, or try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service.

Accuracy

We work to make every check correct, but documents vary and readings can be wrong. A finding is a reason to ask a question, not proof that a document is false; a report without findings doesn't confirm employment or income. The service is provided “as is”.

Payments

Checks are paid per document or per application; the monthly plan renews until you cancel it. Payments are processed by our payment provider as merchant of record, which handles sales tax and receipts. If a check fails on our side, we'll run it again or refund it.

Your data

You keep the rights to what you upload. You give us permission to process it only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy. Files and reports are deleted after 7 days.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, StubSure isn't liable for decisions made using a report, or for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it.

Ending use

You can stop using StubSure at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. If these terms change in a material way, we'll update the date at the top and tell signed-in users by email.
