Report flags / image
THE FILE“Processed in an image editor”
What this flag on a image means, why it matters, and what to check.
What it means
The image's metadata names an image editor or AI image tool as the last program that saved it.
Why it matters
Editors can change any number in a photo of a document.
Ordinary explanations
- Cropping or brightening a photo in an editor before sending it.
What to check
Ask the applicant for a copy downloaded directly from the source (payroll portal or bank), and compare it with this one.
A flag is a reason to verify with the source, not proof. Apply the same steps to every applicant.
