Report flags / PDF file
THE FILE“Unusually many fonts”
What this flag on a PDF file means, why it matters, and what to check.
What it means
The file uses more fonts than a generated document normally does.
Why it matters
When text is edited, the replacement often uses a slightly different font. On its own it's a note.
Ordinary explanations
- Some payroll layouts genuinely use several fonts and weights.
What to check
On its own this is common and often harmless. Weigh it together with the other findings in this report.
A flag is a reason to verify with the source, not proof. Apply the same steps to every applicant.
